Ashamed

OK, So I'm not any better at blogging than I have been at scrapbooking. I have failed. But I am not defeated! I feel like I have to be witty or full of wisdom before I sit down to blog. As you have probably already imagined, that doesn't happen very often. Therefore, neither does a blog post. We have tons of pictures to post (I got a new camera right before Christmas) just not a lot of wisdom. So for now I will just try to focus more on posting pictures and maybe the wisdom will come. So, here it goes again.

As of November 5, my last post:

* Robert and I began the process of licensing our home again to become a foster family. Now called a "Resource Family". We should be official in another 2 week

* In celebration of my 40th birthday, Robert sent me and 2 friends on a long weekend retreat to be pampered at The Grande Resort Spa in Point Clear, AL.

    * We traveled to NC to visit our families for Thanksgiving.

    * The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

    * The kids had their first professional portrait sitting since we became a family of 6.

    *Our church officially launched the orphan ministry, "One Child at a Time." I hope to be able to play a part at leading and encouraging others to foster and/or adopt. I am looking forward to helping lead our fist adoption workshop.

    * We mourned the loss of Appalachian's chance to win a 4 in a row National Championship. We can start all over next year though!

    * Drew started Upward basketball.

      * Kellan took over my position in our Christmas Pyramid for our annual Christmas card picture.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              * We traveled back to NC for Christmas. We started out in Blowing Rock in a "little cabin in the woods." We spent 3 nights there and celebrated our "Christmas morning" (it was really Christmas Eve) there. Taylor was there too that morning because he got iced in the night before and got to spend the night with us.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  * We brought in the new year at our house with our faithful friends, the Bensons. We haven't missed a New Year's Eve with them since they moved in next door 4 years ago.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  * Drum Roll Please: Kellan got his Intermediate License. That means he can drive alone anytime between the hours of 6AM and 10PM.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  * We got a third "family" car! Chosen by Robert and Kellan.
